Program Signup
Information

There is a major change in program signup this year, but you must still use our form to indicate your choices. This is important information, so pay attention here.

Council Level:
1) The Scoutmaster will sign up all attending Scouts for their requested programs and Merit Badges on Sunday at camp. There is no Council online program registration this year. What you sign up for here is what you will be taking at camp! The only exception is if a program is cancelled by the Council or the camp leadership. Choose wisely, young Padwan (sp?).

2) Because of the above, it's about useless for the Scoutmaster to have second choices for your program. Therefore this year we aren't asking for them. Certain classes/programs will still be limited in the number of participants, but since you'll be there when the Scoutmaster learns your fate, he can just ask you what your second choice will be, if any.

Troop 53 Level:
The deadlines shown on our Program Signup form will be enforced. This gives a few days lead time to get all the Blue Cards filled out. Additionally, it gives at least a couple of days between our deadlines and Summer Camp to catch up with any questions about a Scout's requested program choices and make any needed adjustments.
Program signup will be done only with our online form (link below)! No printed forms will be made available. If you would rather not submit that information online, please fill out the form, print it, and turn it in. Further instructions are on that page. Any printed form turned in with Merit Badges filled out by hand will not be accepted! This will reduce the chances for errors on your part to almost zero, so this policy is to your advantage.

Using the Program Registration Form

This form should be pretty self-explanatory. By "almost zero" I mean that there are a lot of safeguards built into the form to ensure that you don't make an inappropriate choice for your current age/rank/etc. As you fill out the personal information at the top of the form certain options appear and disappear based on your choices. Don't be alarmed by this, it's there to keep you from making a mistake. As a 12 year old, First Class Scout you shouldn't be taking BSA Lifeguard, and the form will not allow you to. On the other hand, BSA Lifeguard takes up almost all program time so if you choose that as a 15 year old Life Scout, almost all other program options disappear.

To make a very long story short, as long as you don't make a mistake on the "Personal Information" section you can't go wrong. And if you do make a mistake (e.g. accidentally choose 14 instead of 13 for your age) and correct it your program choices will be reviewed/revalidated to see if they meet the different parameters.
